BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Prof. Dr. Mohd Hasni Bin Ja’afar
CHAIRMAN
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hasni further his studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and graduate with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991.
- He received his Public Health Degree and a PhD (Public Health) from National University of Malaysia (UKM).
- A medical toxicologist registered with the American College of Toxicology since 2014 and has attended various basic and advanced courses in the field.
- As an expert in the field of environmental health, he has started consulting with UKM Pakarunding Sdn. Bhd. since 2002, a year after reporting as a Medical Lecturer at UKM’s Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Nirwan Noh
BOARD MEMBER
- Dr. Nirwan Noh is currently the Deputy Undersecretary (Economic Research) at the Fiscal and Economics Division, Ministry of Finance Malaysia in Putrajaya.
- He is currently responsible for monitoring and analysing matters related to the social aspects of the economy, statistics, and economic modelling.
- In addition, he researches and analyses the labour market and human capital demand and supply issues as well as the delivery of social protection system to ensure the Ministry of Finance contributes towards inclusive and sustainable economic development.
- He holds a B.Commerce in Accounting and Economics from Canada’s McGill University, an M.Phil in International Finance and Economic Policy from the University of Glasgow, UK and a PhD in Economics from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
Prof Dr. Rozmi Bin Ismail
BOARD MEMBER
- Prof Dr.Rozmi Bin Ismail (PhD) is a chartered psychologist and Professor at the Centre for Research in Psychology and Human Wellbeing (PsiTra), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, UKM.
- He is also Deputy Dean of (Postgraduate), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities UKM from September 2001 until present and he holds a Bachelor in Psychology (UKM), Master’s degree from Reading and a PhD in psychology from the Nottingham University United Kingdom.
- He has extensive experience as a lecturer in the field of Psychology for more than 25 years, and have taught more than 15 courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- To date he had produced more than 25 PhD and 6 MPhil students under his supervision, and also has extensive experience as an external examiner of PhD and MPhil theses at various public universities.
Prof. Ir. Dr. Othman Jaafar
BOARD MEMBER
- Prof. Ir. Dr. Othman Jaafar impressive lecturing career stretches back over two decades.
- He served a distinguished lecturer at UKM from 1996 to 2019 and continues to contribute his expertise as an honorary professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, UKM.
- He actively contributes to research and consulting, working with both public and private sectors.
- He also brings his expertise as registered EIA Consultant with the Department of Environment (DOE) in consulting projects on environmental impact assessment (EIA) through UKM Pakarunding.
- After earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at the University of Wales, he went on to pursue a master’s in environmental engineering at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
- He then completed his PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Prof. Ar. Dr. Lim Chin Haw
BOARD MEMBER
- Prof. Ar. Dr. Lim Chin Haw is a Full Professor at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), UKM.
- He specializes in passive and low-energy architecture, holding Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) from UTM, a Master of Science (Architecture) from UM, and a PhD in Renewable Energy from UKM.
- He is a Professional Architect, member of PAM and LAM, and Chairman of the Academic Standing Committee at MalaysiaGBC.
- Starting his career in 1992, Dr. Lim joined academia in 2005.
- He has published extensively and contributed to industry standards like MS 1525. His work has won multiple awards, including the ASEAN Energy Awards.
- He collaborates internationally with institutes like Fraunhofer in Germany and Beijing Solar Energy Research Institute in China.
